The Project Management Institute (PMI) membership is a paid membership platform designed by the institute for professionals who wish to join. The PMI’s membership is a non compulsory membership with many benefits for members. It offers three types of membership options, namely Individual membership, Student membership, and Retiree membership. There is also free user registration that makes users part of the largest PM community and enables them track their certification status. PMI Individual Membership

The PMI individual membership refers to the regular membership open to all globally. As stated before, this PMI membership like other membership are not compulsory. It is open to any individual who wants to maintain their career growth and enjoy the benefits of PMI membership.

PMI Student Membership

PMI Retiree Membership

This is applicable to those who have been a PMI member in good standing for five consecutive years and have retired from active employment.

PMI Membership Fee

PMI membership cost are in different categories. Of the 3 membership categories, the individual membership fee is the highest, followed by the student membership and the retiree membership.

  • Individual Membership: US$129/year plus additional one-time US$10 application fee
  • PMI Student Membership: US$32/year plus additional one-time US$10 application fee
  • PMI Retiree Membership: US$65/year plus additional one-time US$10 application fee
